Owen Hart Jr.

American jazz drummer Owen Hart Jr. is widely respected for his dynamic swing, exceptional timing and musical versatility. Originally from Florida and based in the Netherlands for many years, he has built an international career performing with leading American and European jazz artists, including Branford Marsalis and Michael Moore. In addition to his extensive performing and recording career, Hart served as Professor of Jazz Drums at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen and has presented workshops and masterclasses for musicians around the world. Equally at home in bebop, hard bop and contemporary jazz, his expressive playing and deep sense of groove have made him one of the most sought-after drummers on the European jazz scene.
