Mark Gross

American alto saxophonist Mark Gross is widely recognised as one of the leading voices in contemporary bebop and straight-ahead jazz. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Gross has performed and recorded with an extraordinary list of jazz greats, including Dave Holland, Wynton Marsalis, Nat Adderley, Jimmy Heath, Freddie Hubbard and Dizzy Gillespie. A two-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist through his work with the Dave Holland Big Band, Gross is celebrated for his rich, soulful tone, virtuosic improvisation and deep roots in the bebop tradition inspired by Charlie Parker.
