Marcel Serierse

Dutch drummer Marcel Serierse is regarded as one of the Netherlands’ most accomplished and versatile jazz drummers. After graduating cum laude from the Rotterdam Conservatory, he continued his studies in New York with legendary drummers Steve Gadd and Mel Lewis. A highly sought-after performer in both the studio and on stage, Serierse has collaborated with artists including Michel Petrucciani, Toots Thielemans, Al Jarreau, Bob Brookmeyer, Chaka Khan and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. In addition to his extensive international career, he is a respected educator and has taught jazz drums at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, inspiring generations of young musicians.
