Jonathan Ho Chin Kiat

Jonathan Ho Chin Kiat is a Singaporean double bassist based in the Netherlands and active across the European contemporary jazz scene. A graduate of Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, he has developed a highly versatile approach that combines a strong rhythmic foundation with melodic playing and adventurous improvisation. He has worked with ensembles including Anaphora and the Andrew Moreno Trio and has performed across Europe, Asia and Latin America. In 2024, the Andrew Moreno Trio won the Erasmus Jazz Prize, while Anaphora was among the winners of Keep an Eye The Records. Ho Chin Kiat can also be heard on Andrew Moreno’s 2025 album Axiom, where his expressive acoustic bass playing forms a central part of the trio’s sound.
