Gijs Idema

Gijs Idema is known for his innovative guitar playing, balancing improvisation with structured composition. His music is characterised by lyricism, rhythmic vitality, rich harmonies, and contemplative silences. Gijs leads his own trio and co-leads the Idema/Serierse quartet, exploring fresh vocal and guitar blends. He has released the EP 'Marking Time' on Dox Records, with a follow-up, 'Shaping Time', anticipated soon.
